Seen any good ads lately?

Have you noticed all the political commercials and campaign ads? A better question may be, is it possible to avoid them? Perhaps like me you are already tired of the mud and spin of these ads. While the national ads sling inuendo, they cannot compare with the local ones. One local ad I saw recently talks so much about how terrible the opponent is, I don't even know who the ad was supporting.

Of all times, this is a time to pray - to pray for and with our local, national and international leaders for wisdom, integrity, and a view to the greatest good for humankind. Also, from the Quaker tradition, it's time to pray and move our feet. If you know of a candidate whose integrity and wisdom impresses you, then it's time to work on behalf of that candidate. There has never been a time when prayerful discernment about huge political issues is so desperately needed.

So in a nut shell, do our research, pray, and then move our feet.
